Hi! I'm Rachel, and I've always had a passion for communication and creative problem solving. Each step of the way in my career, I’ve sought to make a tangible difference in people’s lives by taking a holistic approach to my work.
My path to design began unconventionally as a paralegal at an intellectual property law firm in Washington, DC after being drawn to the analytical problem-solving and advocacy aspects of law. Over time, though, I realized that what really motivates me wasn't necessarily law, but the opportunity to dig deep into complex problems and actually design solutions that help real people and make their lives easier.
That realization led me to discover UX design, and once I did, I feel like everything just clicked. I pursued my UX certification and dove into diverse contract work across multiple industries from there.
For the past several years, I led Product Design across 3 teams at Bonterra, working on enterprise-scale B2B SaaS tools. My work has spanned from completely redesigning Bonterra's digital fundraising product to creating intricate reporting workflows and integrated payment solutions within the CRM. These tools support clients managing millions of dollars and massive amounts of data, so the stakes for usability and reliability were always high.
My experiences have sharpened my ability to balance complex technical requirements with intuitive user experiences, while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and stakeholders. I've learned to design at scale, considering not just individual user journeys, but how features integrate across an entire platform ecosystem.
Now I'm ready to take on a new challenge where I can continue creating meaningful impact while growing my skills and advancing my career. I'm particularly interested in roles where I can leverage my experience with complex B2B products while exploring new domains and expanding my strategic design thinking.
